Cannot Get Past "Connecting to Launcher Update Server"

Hey all, I'd like to start off saying that I'm new to the community.

Second, I'd like to note that the Thread I've started IS a continuous problem for many users. I've searched through the site and no one seems to have an answer as I look on the views of each Thread, there's a lot.

So... I'd like to ask this question because it's been a while now and I'm hoping that someone will have an answer! Full size

Is there any way to get passed the "Connecting to Launcher Update Server" pop-up?

I'm running Vista Basic and my requirements are fine, I've tried running as Admin but nothing has changed so far.

I read in another post that you can change your OS configuration to match that of RF Online but I have NO idea how to do that.

If anyone has any advice what-so-ever please don't be scared to help a fellow gamer who would help you if he had the chance!!

Oh, almost forgot. I downloaded the Client via Xfire...Re-downloaded from RF Online main site.
